Honoring Central County Fire and Rescue

We made the rounds to all six stations at Central County Fire and Rescue and also made it over to the HQ building.  We brought BBQ for all three shifts at each station plus the folks at HQ for a total of 85 meals.  I am not sure – but I think Central County must be the largest fire agency in the county.  As always, we were met graciously and we learned a few things.

The crew at Station 5 were proud to pose by their truck that displays a special shield.  If you can’t read the words, it says:

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it.  It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.”

What an inspiring memorial!  Thanks for showing it to us.

Crossed Heart BBQ depends on donations from the public to honor first responders serving in our community.  If you’d like to keep this going then please consider a tax-deductible donation.  You will be doing good!
