Today we flew a load of BBQ out to Spirit of St. Louis Airport for the aircrews, officers and professional staff serving our community – from the air.
Metro Air Support is a joint command of St. Louis County Police Department and St. Charles County Police Department and Metropolitan St. Louis Police Department and they serve the entire region.
Their unique mission is:
- To perform search, rescue, recovery and care for victims injured, lost or in life hazard situations anywhere in the region
- To provide homeland security
- To support fire and medical teams
- To assist other public safety agencies in the protection of lives, personal property and natural resources during emergencies and disasters
- To provide airborne law enforcement assistance to the region
