Dog Day Afternoon

by | Where We Serve

31 May 2023

Today, we crossed the river and made our way (with 40 BBQ Meals) to the St. Louis County Police Academy. We met up with St, Louis County Police Department’s, Canine Unit that were training there.  If you didn’t know it, ST. Louis County has about a dozen working dogs that are specially-trained in suspect apprehension, searching for lost/missing persons, narcotics detection, and locating explosives and other evidence.  Crossed Heart BBQ’s Pitmaster Ben, a real “dog guy” bonded with the German Shepard, AMOR (DSN:  K9001). Read a little more about AMOR on our, AROUND TOWN tab.

Thanks to all the Canines and their handlers for what you do to make our community a safe place.  God Bless!

Please remember that Crossed Heart BBQ depends on donations from the public to honor first responders serving in our community.  If you’d like to help us keep this going then please consider a tax-deductible donation.  You will be doing good!
