Today, we made the rounds to Lake St, Louis Fire Department.
LSL protects the 7,000 residents and businesses located around Lake St. Louis. Led by Chief Clinton Gussner, LSL has three shifts of four fire-fighters serving 48 Hrs(ON) and 96 Hrs(OFF) plus professional staff for a department of 15 – all of them dedicated to serving our community.
We had some Next Gen Volunteers along for the ride today (grandsons, Bennett and Levi) and they loaded up the A, B and C Shift refrigerators with some BBQ Bags that will be waiting for the crews when they’re ready to eat. We almost missed the crew because they we out doing some fire inspections but they rolled back in before we left so we got to meet them and say, “Thanks”.
We also got a first-class station tour from the Stephanie Miller who is the Executive Assistant to the Fire Chief (Learn more about Stephanie in our Around Town Tab). We got a look at all the equipment including LSL’s new Rescue Pumper that’s still being outfitted and will soon ready for duty. Stephanie even let the boys get a look at the station gym and that helped make up for the disappointment that there was no fire pole.
Thanks, Stephanie and thanks to all the firefighters at Lake St. Louis.
