Today, we made the rounds to the Missouri Police Canine Association Workshop with 60 BBQ meals for canine handlers that came (with their dogs) from police departments all across the state. It was a little different sort of delivery for us. We usually deliver a packaged meal for first responders to eat later when it’s convenient but since there was a lunch hour on the schedule and everyone would be eating at the same time we served up a “hot” lunch buffet. We also welcomed some guests from Community Living and they got to meet one of the canines, “Frizbi” up close.
Shout outs to Mark Longhenrich, a regular Crossed Heart BBQ volunteer and to the Yoder Family for helping make the event a success.
