Honoring St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD)

by | Where We Serve

June 24, 2022

We made the rounds to SCCAD Stations 12, 21, 22, 24, 31 and 36.  If you didn’t already know, SCCAD covers all of St. Charles County (about 595 sq miles) rolling from 18 different stations…and there are two more under construction.  If you spotted some personnel wearing red shirts – they are students in the county’s paramedic program.  Students spend one-year working in the classroom and also gaining field experience with crews like these.

Today, we got the volunteer shirt onto, Mr. Vernon Mansfield.  Vernon came in early, helped pack up the meals and then did a ride to get them delivered.  We even got him into some of the photos.  He was a big help and it was much appreciated.  Learn more about Vernon in our Around Town tab.

Crossed Heart BBQ depends on donations from the public to honor first responders serving in our community.  If you’d like to keep this going then please consider a tax-deductible donation.  You will be doing good!
