Today, we made the rounds to the the St. Charles Community College (SCCC) PD. SCCC has about 5,000 students attending full-time and with part time and continuing education, perhaps thousands more. About 125 students live right on campus in the residence hall. Most days, it’s like a small city with a lot going on. As a result, SCCC takes campus security seriously and has a dedicated, professional Police Department.
Chief Bob Ronkoski commands a force of about fifteen officers and professional staff. They work to keep SCCC a safe place to learn and grow. Learn more about Chief Ronkoski in our Around Town Tab.
It wasn’t all work during our visit, take a look at the lower right of the photo to see LT Jeff Drake, striking a camera pose as the “BBQ burglar” making off with the other guy’s lunches. We had to post that photo!
