Doug is a helicopter pilot serving with Metro Air Support, a joint St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County command based at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport. We delivered BBQ there back in May. He’s been a pilot since 2008 – think of all that he’s seen from “up there”. Today, he’s helping out with security at Waypoint Church, our mission partner. We’re glad he’s on the job.
Fun Fact: When Crossed Heart BBQ was formed as a non profit (back in Dec 2021), Doug was one of the folks that helped us get things going by making some important introductions. He has the distinction of being very first person to get “Official BBQ” after we became a legit, non-profit!
